How do I know if my computer is running a 32 or 64 bit operating system?
 
 

In Windows VISTA:
  1. Click "Start".
  2. Right click on "Computer" and select "Properties".
  3. Look at the "System Type" value.
In Windows XP:
  1. Click "Start".
  2. Right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties".
  3. Find the version of Windows you have installed there.
